fmplay − program to play mus files via the fms
synthesizer
SYNOPSIS
musplay [options] [filename]
DESCRIPTION
This manual page documents the usage of the
musplay command, which is part of the F Modular
Synthesizer (fms).
musplay can play and convert midi-like mus files,
as they are often used to typeset notes. You can specify
basic properties for playing these files. The output can be
either direct OSS sound (/dev/dsp) or wave files / fms midi
files.
OPTIONS

length of output in seconds; this determines the speed of
replaying the mus file

wave output into filename
byterate for output (1 or 2)
−q
quiet mode - musplay is less verbose if this is
specified
−a

asynchronous mode - pre-computing output; takes a longer
time to wait but may be sensible for smooth output on slow
systems
